Purpose of the funding

The aim is to make sustainable improvements to the way schools deliver PE and encourage lifelong healthy, active lifestyles.

Schools must use the funding to:

• Increase opportunities for pupils to take part in physical activity

• Raise the profile of PE and sport across the school

• Provide staff with training and resources to improve PE teaching

• Introduce new sports and activities

• Improve facilities and equipment for PE and play

• Develop links with local sports clubs and organisations

How we use the Sports Premium

At Linthwaite Clough, we use the funding to:

• Provide additional coaching and extracurricular opportunities for all children.

• Ensure a high-quality and effective Physical Education curriculum is available to all children.

• Take part in sporting competitions and events.

• Promote active play and wellbeing during break times.
